Questions
Everything practical, in one place.
If something is not answered here, write to roth@tr3es.de
How long did it take?
315 hours, by one pair of hands. Time is the rarest material in the work, and the only one that cannot be bought.
What is it made of?
Two aluminium wires at 1 mm. The silver is braided into one continuous structure, over 1,500 metres of it, running from root to branch tip. The red is a second wire, formed by hand into over 450 blossoms. Stainless steel. Everything is braided and twisted by hand. Nothing is screwed or glued.
Does it need any care?
A dry room indoors, and dusting when it needs it. Aluminium does not rust and nothing on the work can wilt.
How is it delivered?
Brought and installed in person by the artist, anywhere in the world. Never handed to a courier. Because the work is metal rather than a living plant, it crosses borders as art — no plant-health paperwork, no quarantine, no seasonal window.
What guarantees it is authentic?
Three marks, one number: struck into the base, printed on the certificate and repeated on the holographic seal. All three must agree, and the number can be verified online at any time.
What does the price include?
The work, the signed certificate, the holographic seal, crated transport, and personal delivery and installation.
How is an acquisition arranged?
An enquiry, a viewing, a handover. Arranged in private, set out in writing, completed in person.
Could there ever be a second?
No. Every branch tip exists in the first bundle of silver, so the silhouette is set before the first bend and cannot be repeated. A tree is grown. This one is made, once.
Can I see it before I decide?
Yes. A live viewing from the studio is arranged within days — the work turned, lit and held close, for as long as you want.
